The 1970s were the years of ‘building for the neighbourhood’, of democratisation, public consultation and co-management. A small group of inspired architects experimented with resident consultation in urban regeneration. They fed the discussion about the tunnelling of the metro and the housing improvement plans by tabling designs and specifying possible drawbacks. The sketches by Theo Bosch demonstrate this approach and speak powerfully for such a process.
